Another Christmas Special

-One Year Later-

Noiz and Mosh had just gotten home early from a Christmas party. The kitty flopped down onto the couch and stretched her arms above her head.

"That was a lame party," she said. Noiz looked over at her boyfriend. "Remind me why we had to go again."

"We were being nice," he said. His girlfriend frowned.

"Nice is overrated," she said.

"Oh come on, it's Christmas," Mosh said. Noiz lifted her head.

"True," she said. Noiz reached out to her boyfriend.

"Noiz-sama?" Mosh asked. She grabbed his hand. The kitty broke into a big smile.

"Play with me!" she said. "Play! Play! Play!" Mosh slipped out of her grasp.

"Easy there," he said. "You sure you aren't drunk?"

"No!" she said. "I didn't have that much." The mouse boy raised his eyebrow.

"How much is 'that much'?" he asked. Noiz burst out laughing.

"It's fine!" she said. "Play!" The kitty tried to reach out again. Suddenly, the door bell rang. Noiz looked with a dull look on her face.

"Oh," she said.

"Who is that?" Mosh asked. He walked over to the front door.

"Don't," Noiz complained. The mouse boy opened the door. A blonde-haired young man dressed in a thick coat stood in the hallway. Mosh raised his eyebrow.

"Jamie?" he asked. "What are you doing here?" The young man in the hall lowered his eyes.

"I kind of got lonely in my dorm," he said. "Can I come in?"

"No," Noiz said.

"Sure," her boyfriend said.

"Thank you," Jamie said, bowing. Mosh moved aside to let the young man inside. Noiz lay back on the couch, frowning.

"What are you doing here?" she asked. Jamie shrugged his shoulders.

"I was so bored and lonely," he said. The young man gave them a puzzled look. "You two are still here on campus?"

"Yeah," Mosh said. "We decided to stay in this year."

"We just came from a crappy party!" Noiz said.

"We just cam from a party," the mouse boy repeated. Jamie nodded.

"I see," he said. "Do you have any hot chocolate?"

"We've got the Starbucks kind Noiz bought earlier," Mosh answered. The kitty girl looked up with her eyes narrowed.

"You better now," she mouthed. Her boyfriend ignored her and walked into the kitchen. Jamie turned his attention back to Noiz.

"How's Perry doing?" he asked.

"Good," she said. "He's divorced from Shannon and is now back with Leslie. They are spending Christmas in Boston this year."

"I see," Jamie said. "My girlfriend just broke up with me over the phone this morning."

"I'm sorry to hear that." She shifted in place. "The pig married June three months ago." Jamie's eyes widened.

"What?!" he asked. "How did that happen?"

"She just finally wore him down. June found Artemis at a weak moment and won him over. His fancy friends finally got fed up with him and kicked him to the curb. He and June now run Animal House together. Artemis is happy that she's happy."

"I guess there's someone out there for somebody."

"Yeah." Noiz and Jamie turned to see Mosh walking back into the living room with three hot mugs of hot chocolate.

"Oh, I didn't ask for one," the kitty said.

"I thought you would want one anyway," her boyfriend said. He handed her a mug.

"Thanks anyway," she said. Jamie took his own mug.

"Cheers, mate," he said. "Hey, let's make a toast." Noiz raised her eyebrow.

"What for?" she asked.

"To another year at Animal House," he said. "It's going to be our last year when spring comes."

"Oh, that's right!" Mosh said.

"I'm going to miss all of you," Jamie said. Noiz rolled her eyes.

"Don't get sentimental on us, man," she said. "Let's just get this over with." The three of them held up their mugs.

"To our final year," Jamie said.

"Cheers," Noiz and Mosh said. The mugs all clinked before the three took a drink.

"Are you doing anything for Christmas?" Jamie asked.

"You are not spending it with us," Noiz said.

"But..." he said.

"No!" she said. Jamie lowered his head.

"Okay..." he said.

"Come on, Noiz-sama, ease up on him," Mosh said. The kitty just made a face at him as she took another sip of her hot chocolate. The boys did the same thing in silence.
