Down Girl

Noiz dropped her head at her desk.

"I'm so bored!" she complained. It didn't help that Mosh and the boys were out on a class trip. He didn't even invite her along.

"Sorry, Noiz-sama," he said. "This is an all-guy's trip. I can't have you come with me." The kitty frowned.

"But why not?" she asked. Mosh shrugged his shoulders.

"I'm sorry," he said. "That's just how it is." Noiz frowned and puffed up her cheeks.

"Fine, whatever," she muttered. "Go on your stupid trip."

Now, Noiz looked out the window and sighed. Now what? She didn't feel like doing much today. It looked like the kitty would be able to get plenty of work down while alone in the dorm. In fact, she counted on it. That lasted about... thirty minutes. It didn't take long for her mind to wonder off. She could've gone out to go somewhere, but she didn't feel like it. Sure, she had money and the means to get to where she wanted to go. The problem is, Noiz lacked the desire to do it. She looked up at the clock over their bed.

"It's only 9:28?" she asked. Noiz sat back in her chair and groaned with her hands over her eyes. She dropped them down and puffed up her cheeks. She still had to finish this draft and send it off to be edited by three o'clock today. The kitty covered her eyes again.

"I don't want to work!" she complained. "I am so bored." Noiz looked at her cell phone to her right. It would be so easy to make that call and talk to Mosh right now. He and the boys were probably having a good time right now.

Noiz quickly shook her head.

"No!" she said. "I won't give in! Let them enjoy their stupid trip. See if I care!" The kitty looked at her half-finished draft and sighed.

"This sucks," she complained. After about a few minutes, Noiz dropped her hands into her lap. "I'm sick of this." She put her laptop on sleep mode and jumped back onto her bed. Her eyes felt heavy and wanted to close anyway. She pressed her face to her arm and closed her eyes.

"Noiz-sama. Noiz-sama. Noiz-sama!" Noiz heard someone say as they shook her on the shoulder. The kitty jerked her head upwards with a gasp. Mosh stood in front of her with his head tilted.

"Had a good nap?" he asked. His girlfriend blinked.

"Mosh-kun?" she asked. "Is that really you? What happened to the trip?"

"The trip's over," he said. "And I'm really back. How was your day?" Noiz looked around for the clock.

"What time is it?" she asked.

"Two o'clock," he said. Her eyes widened.

"Damn it!" Noiz shouted. She ran over to her laptop and booted it up. Mosh watched as she went away typing.

"So I take it you had a good day today?" he asked. Noiz turned to him, smiling with her thumb up.

"Great!" she lied. "It was just that great!" The mouse boy didn't even bother to ask as she typed harder and faster. Instead, Mosh just backed out of the room and closed the door behind him. Noiz gritted her teeth and she wrapped up the chapter for the day.
