Jealousy

Kurai never did trust anyone. She was a demon and that was habit. So far, Akitada proved to be different.

He was so sweet and kind towards her. The angel started to fall in love with her over this past month. Akitada never seemed to have any hidden agenda. Still, this didn’t sit well with her.

Why does he love me so much? Kurai stared out at the ocean lost in her thoughts. She had to test him in some way.

“So there you are!” she heard someone say. Kurai turned to see Akitada standing in the doorway of the boat cabin. Kurai tried to ignore his angelic beauty.

“Yeah, so?” she asked.

“I have breakfast ready,” the angel mouse said.

“Oh.”

Akitada tilted his head at her. “Is something wrong?”

Kurai shook her head. “No…”

“You look lost in thought there. What was on your mind?”

His girl shrugged her shoulders and turned back to the sea.

“Hm,” Akitada said. She’ll come in when she’s ready, he thought. The angel mouse turned and went inside. Kurai sighed. He’s too good to be true, she thought. The demon kitty lay on her stomach. A white hat passed by underneath. However, it was enough to capture her attention. This young man looked about nineteen. The hat hid his face. However, the kitty became curious.

Who is that? Kurai turned invisible and leapt down. The young man paused and held out his hand.

“Looks like it will rain,” he said. Kurai followed behind. Who are you? An idea formed in her head. You know… He could be pretty useful to me. She just needed to trail him a bit further.

Kurai trailed him all the way into town. The young man walked into a café called Happy Shore. The kitty demon landed on her feet. It didn’t take long for her plan to form. Kurai’s lips curved into a smile.

Yes, he will do just fine! Kurai made herself visible and walked into the café. She spotted her target in the back corner. Kurai licked her lips. Show time! The demon kitty walked over to her prey.

-------

“Kurai-chan!” Akitada called. “Hurry up! Your food’s getting cold!” When he came outside, she was nowhere in sight. The angel mouse looked around puzzled.

“Now where did she go?” he asked. Akitada shrugged as he wandered outside.

--------

Kurai approached her prey’s table. She pressed her hands against the surface. The young man looked up when a shadow cast over him. The demon kitty gave him a huge grin.

“Hi,” she greeted him. The young man gave her an odd look.

“Uh… hi…” he said back.

“Mind if I sit down?” Kurai asked in a flirty tone.

“No…”

“Nice!” She took her seat beside the young man. She turned her attention back to him.

“My name’s Kurai,” the kitty introduced herself. Her target chuckled rather nervously.

“I’m Shusuke,” the target replied.

“Shusuke, huh? Let’s get a good look at you, shall we?” Kurai reached forward and took off his hat. A smile came onto her face.

“Oh,” she said. Her new “friend” looked like bishounen material. She smiled at his light blue eyes.

“Yes,” she said. “You will do just fine.”

“What?” Shusuke asked. Kurai stuck up her hand in the air.

“Waitress!” she called out. “Fetch us two drinks!”

“No… uh…” Shusuke tried to say. Kurai turned to him with a sharp look in her eyes.

“Is there a problem?” she asked. The young man gulped as she leaned in close to his face.

“No,” he said in a small voice. Kurai drew back, smiling.

“Good,” she said. Her target’s eyes searched for an escape. The demon kitty unfolded her plan. A waitress walked over to their table.

“Good morning,” she greeted the patrons. “My name is Asuna and I will be your server. What can I get you to drink?”

“Coke, please,” Kurai said.

“Water,” Shusuke said, reluctantly. The waitress wrote down their orders.

“Okay!” Asuna chirped. “I’ll be with you shortly.” She turned and headed back to the kitchen. Kurai turned to her prey.

“Kiss me!” she commanded. Shusuke looked at her so alarmed.

“What?!” he yelped. The demon kitty rested her hand on his knee.

“Come on,” she cooed. “It’s just one kiss. What do you have to lose?” The demon inched in closer as the target looked around for an escape. Kurai smirked as she leaned in for the kiss. Shusuke didn’t get time to push her away. While they kissed, Kurai took a picture. Perfect! The kitty hit send.

---------

Akitada looked up when his cell phone buzzed.

“Hm?” he asked as he flipped it open. The angel mouse opened the text. A puzzled look came onto his face.

“What the…?” he asked. Akitada scrolled down on the message. He saw the picture of Kurai kissing on a boy. The angel mouse’s eyes wide as his jaw dropped. What the…?! Nevertheless, he still scrolled down. She left him a little message.

Hey, baby! Guess where I am! Come down to the Happy Shore! ;)

Akitada’s hand broke into trembling. He took off running into town.

---------

Kurai pulled away, smirking. “Did you enjoy that?”

Shusuke sat there blinking and confused. “What was what for?”

Kurai smirked at him, repressing her laughter. She moved his hand to her breast. Shusuke’s face turned bright red.

“W-W-What are you doing?” he stammered out. The demon kitty grinned at him.

“Do you like this?” she asked. The poor soul struggled to answer.

“Uh… uh…” he stammered out. Kurai cuddled up closer to him.

“Kiss me again,” she commanded.

“What?!” Shusuke cried.

“Come on!” the kitty demanded. “Kiss me!” She went in for the kill.

“Kurai-chan!” they heard someone shout. She and her victim looked up to see Akitada racing over to their table. Kurai sat back, smiling. Right on time, she thought.

“Yes?” the kitty asked. Akitada looked at bother her and Shusuke.

“What are you doing?!” he yelped. Kurai gave him a grin of mischief.

“What else?” she asked. Under the table, the demon kitty put her hand on Shusuke’s knee, moving it upwards in a slow way. Her victim displayed discomfort on his face.

“Could you please stop?” Akitada asked, pleading.

“Why?” his girl asked. Her eyes lit up in fake surprise. “Don’t tell me you’re jealous!” He folded his arms across his chest.

“Maybe I am!”

“Oh? I thought angels didn’t get jealous!”

“Well I am and it hurts. Could you please stop?”

Kurai had her answer. She heard the sincerity in his voice. The same could be felt from this heart. The demon kitty shook her head, smiling.

“Well, okay,” she said. “I will stop. I was getting bored anyway. I want to go home now.” Kurai rose to her feet and walked out of the café. Akitada watched her, rather confused. What was all of that about? The angel mouse turned back to a red-faced Shusuke.

“I am so sorry for all of the trouble she caused you,” he said with a bow. “Here.” Akitada reached into his pocket for his wallet. He pulled out five hundred yen. “This should cover your breakfast,” he said. “Take it! I’m so sorry!” Akitada rushed out the door after his girlfriend. Shusuke just sat at his table, blinking and confused. What the hell? What was all of that about? He tilted his head, baffled.

Hey Jealousy!
