The Beatles - Oh Darling...Oh Darling!
Lucas remembered when he first met Lexie back in North Carolina. They were only fifteen at the time. School had just begun to start for the semester. Lucas had just walked over to the school on his own for the first time. Lexie was standing the doorway of the school looking out. She seemed to be waiting for something or someone. A young looked at her in admiration. Young Lexie did look as cute as she did now. Lucas figured that he would get to know this girl a look bit better. So, the boy waved at her. Lexie saw him and became confused. She looked behind her to see if he was waving at someone else. The girl didn't see anyone at all. She turned back to the boy across the street. He still waved at her.
"Me?" she mouthed as she pointed to herself. Lucas nodded. He nearly jay-walked to her after he gave his answer. Lexie looked on intrigued. A boy was actually interested in her? This has to be a dream. Lucas came all the way over to his future girlfriend.
"+Hey,+" he said. Lexie looked at him slightly confused for a moment. Then, she giggled a bit. Lucas raised an eyebrow at her.
"+What?+" he asked. Lexie gave him a nervous little smile.
"+I thought you were waving at someone else,+" she answered.
"+Were you expecting me to?+" Lucas asked. Lexie shrugged. The boy looked on slightly odd.
"+Many guys don't talk to you, do they?+" he asked. Lexie nodded. Lucas thought about that for a moment.
"+Ah, I see,+" he said. They both went silence for a moment. The boy looked over at his girl.
"+Want to take a walk with me?+" he asked causally. Lexie looked up at him blushing. She didn't know what to say at first.
"+S-S-Seriously?+" she asked. The boy nodded at her.
"+Yeah,+" he said. "+That's if you want to,+" The girl nodded at him quickly.
"+Yes!+" she replied quickly. "+I mean, yes, I would like to go with you.+" Lucas smiled at her kindly.
"+Okay then,+" he said. "+Let's go.+" The pair walked around the campus before classes started. Before they departed, Lexie turned to her new friend.
"+When can I see you again?+" she asked him, trying not to sound desperate. Lucas smiled at her warmly.
"+How does after school sound?+" he asked. Lexie smiled at his offer.
"+Sure!+" she chirped. "+I would love that!+"
"+Nice!+" Luke said. "+I'll see you then!+" From then on, a beautiful bloomed from there. However, difficulty came along with the love. Lucas learned that the hard way. But yet, he still stayed with her. Why? Because, Lucas loved her and wanted to help her out any way that he could. Sadly, that was all taking its toll on him. His friends knew it and he knew it. But, Lucas just couldn't leave. Lexie needed him.
