Chapter Thirteen: Red Jasmines:
The family headed in the aquarium. This place just opened
last week. Noiz had been itching to go to it for days. She even gave her husband
little kitty eyes.
“Please?” she asked. Mosh sighed and lowered his shoulders.
“Fine,” he said. His wife gave off a happy squeal.
“I love you so much!” she said aloud before kissing him on
the cheek. Mosh shook his head, smiling as he patted her on the head.
“Yeah, yeah,” he said. Today, they looked at the fish
swimming in the tanks. Noiz showed Ume-chan all of the fish that she wanted to
eat. The mouse shook his head.
“Is food all you think about?” he asked. His wife gave him
an innocent look.
“What?” she asked.
“Nothing,” he said. Noiz broke into giggling. The mouse gave
her a puzzled look.
“What?” he asked.
“Oh,” she replied. “I was just remembering something.”
“What was that?” Mosh asked. Noiz turned to him with a smile on his
face.
“You remember the dance we had at the academy three years ago,
right?” she asked. Mosh tried to dig in his brain for such event.
“Vaguely,” he answered.
“Would you like me to tell you the story?” Noiz asked. Her husband
dropped his shoulders.
“I know you’re itching to tell me,” he said with a sigh.
“Thank you,” his wife replied.

Autumn 2069.
The academy was having its annual fall dance. By then, Noiz and
Mosh hit a small crisis. He got asked out by a girl that had a crush on him and
he absent-minded said yes.
“Why would you do that?!” Noiz complained.
“I’m sorry!” Mosh tried to reason with her. “She wouldn’t listen to
me!” His girl sat back with her arms folded across her chest.
“You could’ve said no,” she pointed out.
“I couldn’t get a word in!” the mouse yelped. Noiz pouted as she
marched back to her room.
“Noiz-sama!” Mosh shouted.
“Leave me alone!” the kitty yelled back. She slid the door shut
behind her. Mosh was left standing in the living room beside himself. The mouse
loved Noiz, but he felt that he couldn’t break this promise to his date.
The night of the dance kicked off easy at first. Noiz managed to
get a date of her own. Everyone noticed the newly made couple coming in with
other dates.
“Did they break up?”
“What happened?”
“Are they okay?”
The lovers tried to ignore them and enjoy their night. Noiz had the
feeling of making her boyfriend jealous. The girl with Mosh felt like doing the
same thing. To make a long story short, their dates didn’t turn as they planned.
Noiz’s date turned out to be a controlling jerk and girl who had a crush on Mosh
called him a useless idiot. The mouse had to go and make it up to his
girlfriend. In the end, Noiz ended up spending the night with Mosh at his old
house with Andrea.

-Today-
Mosh tilted his head at her. “I don’t exactly remember it happening
that way.” His wife shrugged her shoulders.
“Who knows?” she asked. The kitty
walked ahead him with the crowd. Mosh blinked at her, puzzled.
“Okay then…” he mumbled to himself before following behind.
