Chapter Twenty-Two: Today:

Mosh got his wife help with the consoler downtown. Noiz didn’t really open at first, but the therapist waited for the first five days before the pregnant kitty began to talk.

“I don’t know what’s wrong with me,” she confessed.

“How long have you had these mood swings?” the therapist asked.

“December.”

“December?”

“Yes…”

“You think it has something to do with the baby?”

“Could it?”

“I am asking you. Do you think it has something to do with the baby?”

Noiz shrugged and shook her head. “I don’t know.”

Today, she’s doing much better. Mosh watched her from the corner. Noiz glanced over at him, puzzled.

“What?” she asked. He smiled as he shrugged his shoulders.

“I’m just happy you’re happy,” he said.

“Huh?” she asked.

“I’m serious,” he said. “Are you feeling better now?”

“Yeah,” she replied. Noiz then paused in thought. “Actually, I’m kind of bored now.”

“Bored?”

Noiz pouted at him like a cute little kitty. “Entertain me?”

Mosh looked at her with big eyes. “Seriously?”

“Please? Please?” She batted her eyelashes at him. “Even the baby’s bored too.” Mosh’s face became mixed with confusion and excitement.

“Alright,” he said. “How do you want me to entertain you?” Noiz did her best to roll onto her side.

“Kiss me,” she said. The kitty held out her arms to embrace him. Mosh pushed himself to his feet and walked over to his pregnant wife. He planted one little kiss on her lips.

“What now?” he asked.

“Lay down with me,” Noiz told him. She scooted back for him to join her on the futon. The kitty moved his hand to her belly. “Do you feel it?” she asked.

“Yeah,” Mosh said.

“We’re going to be parents in a few weeks,” she whispered.

“Yes.” He gave her another kiss on the lips.

“What was that for?”

Mosh stroked her on the cheek. “I love you.” Noiz broke into giggling. He gave her a strange look.

“What?” he asked.

“It’s just…” Noiz spoke up. She shook her head. “Nothing,” she said.

“Noiz-sama?” he asked.

“Just let me be happy like that,” the kitty said. “I miss our moments like this.” Mosh smiled as he rested his forehead against hers.

“I do too,” he said.

“Can we stay like this for a while? I like this.”

Mosh pushed some of her hair from her face. “Sure, we can stay like this as long as you like.” They shared another on the lips.

“I love you, Mosh-kun,” Noiz whispered.

“I love you too, Noiz-sama,” he said back. His hand rubbed on her belly.

“One more month,” he said.

“Yep,” Noiz replied.
