Colin and Miho
On the other side of lesbians, there is always the butch tomboy-type. I made one right after Andi. Her name is Miho. To be more accurate, she’s more bisexual than a lesbian. Andi does not enjoy that, of course. Yes, she and Miho are dating. I don’t break up couples; that’s just not my thing. I go for more single girls. I don’t like mess, but the taken girls are just attracted to me. Not my fault, it just happens.
I digress. Back to Miho.
I don’t really know what to make of her. She’s like a rough mate, but only too much of a girl in a sense. It’s hard to describe her exactly. I still can’t really figure her out. I’m trying, but I draw blanks. This would be easier if I go back with meeting her.
Miho’s my computer science teacher for the semester. It’s right after my homeroom class. She always gives me this look. You know the type? The kind where the cop is looking at the suspect with certainty that they did it. Yes, that look. I didn’t understand why she didn’t really like me. She gave me that cold look again this morning. I nudged a classmate on the arm.
“Hey man,” I whispered. “Is she always like this?” He shook his head at me.
“No, it’s only you,” he said. I blinked at him.
“Huh?” I asked. “Why?” He shook his head again, this time he smiled. I still didn’t get it.
“What?” I asked. The classmate patted me on the back.
“You made a pass at her girlfriend,” he said. My face went blank.
“What?” I asked. “When was this?”
“This morning, apparently,” he said. I still didn’t get it. “You sure?” The guy nodded at me. I narrowed my eyes at him.
“You sure?” I asked.
“Yes,” he said. “Plus you have managed to woo most of the teachers here.” I looked interested.
“Is that right?” I asked. The dude nodded at me. I sat back in thought. Here it goes again. I happened to glance up to see Miho glaring at me. The other guy and I quickly went back to our computers. I decided to try and solve this problem with this butch bi.
After class, I walked over to her at the doorway. I took her by the wrist. Her eyes turned to me with violent eyes.
“What?” she whispered at me. I kept up a brave face.
“Can I ask you something?” I asked. She narrowed her eyes at her.
“What?” Miho whispered. I looked around for a moment. It might have been my imagination, but I think her cheeks were turning bright pink. Oh, what is this? Another TZA girl with a crush on me? I didn’t speak my thoughts, of course.
“Can we talk outside?” I asked. Miho looked at the class. She rolled her eyes and breathed out.
“Fine,” she hissed. “Let me go!” I let go of her wrist and followed her into the hall. I closed the door behind us. Miho looked at me with the eyes of a pit bull.
“What do you want?” she hissed at me.
“Can I ask you something?” I asked.
“What?” Miho asked.
“Why do you look at me like I’m a criminal or something?” I asked. Miho’s face didn’t change.
“What?” she asked.
“You look at me like I did something wrong,” I said.
“Well, did you do?”
I shook my head. “No.”
Miho raised an eyebrow at me. “You sure about that?”
I looked around a bit. “What do you mean?” I looked at her face again. Her cheeks turned a brighter shade of red. I looked at her with fake concern. “Are you… blushing?” I asked. Miho puffed up her cheeks.
“No!” she snapped. I turned her face to me. She tried to look away as I looked her intensely in the eye.
“What?” she asked. I smiled at her.
“Oh, you are!” I said aloud. Miho pushed me away.
“Take your hands off me!” she snapped.
“Why do you look at me so hatefully, lass?” I asked.
“Don’t call me that!” she barked.
“What’s your problem?” I asked her.
“You!” she screamed out. “Just… go back to Ireland!” Miho slapped me in the face and ran off. I smiled and rubbed my cheek. What was that?, I thought. Somehow, I just can’t get her out of my head ever since.
