Chapter Twenty-Six: Eternal Promise:

Mosh lay down beside Noiz. She looked over at him in a pleasant mood.

“Hey,” she whispered.

“Hi,” he said back. He gave her a little kiss on the tip of her nose. She held onto his hand

“Twelve more days,” she said.

“Yeah.”

She pressed her forehead against his. “I love you, you know that?”

“Yes.”

“Do you love me as much as I do you?”

“Yes.”

Noiz smiled at him like a little child. “That’s good to hear.” Her tone made him look up at her.

“What is it?” he asked. The kitty grabbed him by the hands.

“Promise me something.”

Mosh raised an eyebrow at her. “What?”

“Say that you will be with me until you die.”

He gave her a patient smile. “Alright.”

“Say it back to me in words.”

The mouse lowered his shoulders. “I will stay with you until I die.”

“Now say that you will love only me forever and forever.”

“I will love only you forever and forever.”

Noiz frowned to herself. “Say it like you mean it.”

“I am!”

“Please sound like it.”

“Okay! I will love only you forever and forever.”

Noiz moved her body closer to the best of her ability. “Kiss me to seal it.” Mosh gave her a long kiss on the lips. The kitty held him in her arms. The mouse slowly pulled away. His wife gave him a naughty little smile.

“I will hold you to your word,” she warned him. “If you betray, I will make your life a living hell.” She squeezed him on the arm as tightly as she could. “Understand me?” Noiz asked with gritted teeth.

“Ow,” Mosh whimpered. “Yes, yes. I will keep my word.” The kitty loosened her grip.

“Good,” she said. Her tone changed into sweet as honey as she rested her head against his chest. “I love you, Mosh-kun,” she whispered. The mouse couldn’t help but smile as he patted her on the head.

“I love you too,” he mumbled in her ear. You can be quite the stubborn little kitty, can’t you?
