Chapter Six: I am Yours Now:

The kitty headmistress was glad that the long day was over. All Noiz wanted right now was some food that she could keep down in her stomach and go to bed. The attention just wouldn’t leave her. The women kept asking her if she would keep the baby or not. Noiz couldn’t answer them because she didn’t know that herself. By sundown, she just wanted to disappear into the silence. Noiz opened the door to her house in the evening.

“I’m home,” she mumbled. The kitty took off her shoes. She stood and paused. Her eyes caught a small card on the wall.

“Hm?” she asked. The headmistress unpinned it and unfolded it. She read the message inside.

Go the balcony.

Noiz raised an eyebrow at the paper. Huh?, she thought. What is this? She looked into the house. Curious, she made her way up the stairs. Noiz walked down the hall and came into Aiko Suite. Her fingers touched the screen door. The kitty took a moment to slide open. She looked around outside.

“Hello?” Noiz asked. “I’m here!”

“Over here,” a familiar voice answered. Noiz’s heart raced at that sound. She hurried over to the bench. Mosh looked up at her and gave her a little wave.

“Yo,” he said. Noiz held out the note to him.

“What is this?” she asked. Her husband smiled.

“A ticket to relax,” he replied. Noiz tried not to laugh. Mosh looked at her with an eyebrow raised.

“What’s so funny?” he asked. Noiz shook her head.

“You are too cute, you know that?” she said.

“I mean it,” he said. “Come, sit down with me.” He patted the spot next to him on the bench. Noiz shrugged to herself. Might as well. The kitty sat down beside the mouse. Mosh smiled a bit at her.

“Very good,” he murmured. The mouse pulled her in closer and patted her on the head. “Talk to me,” he whispered in her hair. Noiz looked up at him.

“About what?” she asked. Mosh shrugged a bit under her.

“I don’t know,” he said. “Just about anything.” Noiz looked out on the view from the balcony.

“It’s was hell today,” she complained. “Everyone kept asking if I would keep the baby or not.” Mosh opened his mouth to ask, but his wife held up her hand.

“Please don’t,” she murmured. “I just managed to get rid of my headache. I don’t want another one.” The mouse drew his mouth closed.

“Alright,” he said. His wife sighed.

“If this keeps up, it’ll ruin my perfect blood pressure,” she complained. Mosh kissed her on the head and smiled.

“Well, that’s why we are here,” he said. “Just relax and forget about the day with me.” The kitty looked up at him, puzzled.

“But…” she started to say. Her husband gently put a finger to her lips.

“Shhh,” he whispered. “No talking, just relax and enjoy the cool sunset right now.” His wife tried to think of something to say back to him. When she came up with nothing, she just settled in his arms and watched the view of the October sun setting in front of them. Mosh gently shushed her again.

“Yes,” he murmured. “Just relax and enjoy. Let the day melt away. You can even go to sleep out here on me if you like. I’ll be right here with you until you feel better.” Noiz slowly drew her eyes closed in his young, strong arms. The sounds of the autumn aided along with the coming process of sleep for the kitty.

However, one question still remained on her mind.

“Mosh-kun,” she said. Her husband glanced down at her.

“Yes?” he asked. The pregnant kitty opened her eyes and looked up at him.

“How come you’re always so good to me?” she asked. The mouse gave her a little smile back.

“Cause,” he said. “I am yours.” Noiz giggled at him. Mosh made a strange face at her.

“What?” he asked. Noiz smiled as she shook her head and closed her eyes.

“Nothing,” she murmured. “It just sounded so cheesy when you said it.”

“But it’s true!” Mosh exclaimed.

“Yep,” Noiz murmured. The mouse smiled to himself and patted her on the head and ears once more.

“You’ll be alright,” he whispered. “You’re a tough girl. I know you can do it. You will live through all of this.” Mosh just let his wife rest there while he turned back to the setting sun in front of them.
