Jules walked up to her brother’s door and knocked.
“Tre!” she shouted. “Get up! Mum needs you around the house today!” The woman
heard mumbling behind the door. His sister sighed and rolled her eyes.
“Tre!” Jules yelled. “Get up now!” She opened the door wide. Her brother covered
his head with his sheets. Jules puffed up her cheeks as she marched over to his
bed. She pulled back the sheets.
“Hey!” Tre shouted.
“Get up now!” Jules yelled.
“Fine,” he grumbled. Tre crawled out of bed and walked over to the closet. His
sister stood and shook her head. He hasn’t changed, has he?

Muriel sat in her living room, plotting. Aisha held out her hand.
“Are you sure you want to do this?” she asked.
“Yes!” Muriel shouted.
“Just give up, Aisha,” Lewis said. “This is what she wants. I don’t blame her.”
“Thank you!” their friend shouted.
“Okay, okay,” Aisha said. “But does it have to come down to this?”
“Yes!” Muriel shouted. The leader gently shushed her.
“Okay, I get it,” she said. “I think there is a better way to do it.” Muriel
raised an eyebrow at her.
“How?” she asked. Aisha stood up.
“We could help him get a job and move out,” she said. Clyde stifled back a
laugh. The leader gave her a cold look.
“Something funny?” she asked. Clyde put her arms behind her head. Lewis wrinkled
her nose as she backed away.
“Please don’t do that,” she muttered.
“‘Ow you gonna get ‘im a job?” Clyde asked. Aisha gritted her teeth. She
clenched her fists. Muriel threw up her hands.
“I will take anything at this point,” she said.
“Right,” the leader said. She stood up and walked down the hall. Muriel turned
her head.
“Where are you going?” she asked. Aisha glanced over her shoulder.
“I’m going to talk to Tre, of course,” she said. Muriel saluted at her.
“Good luck with that,” she said. Aisha shrugged and walked down the hall.

Annie stood outside of the Sunny Plum and buried her head in her hands. Why did
Tucker have to do this crap? He didn’t even try to apologize. She looked up at
the sky. Annie turned when she heard the door open. Tucker poked his head
outside.
“Are you still angry about that stupid vase?” he asked. Annie shot him a cold
glare.
“It wasn’t a stupid vase!” I shouted. “It was a present from my mum!” Tucker
sighed and rolled his eyes.
“Look, I said I was sorry!” he said. Annie took in heavy breaths.
“You didn’t say it like you meant it!” she shouted. Tucker smacked himself in
the forehead.
“What do you want from me?!” he asked. Annie marched up to him while waving her
arms in the air.
“An apology!” she shouted. “A proper apology! Is that so much to ask?!” Tucker
rolled his eyes and disappeared back into the café. Annie threw back her head
and groaned.
“Men,” she muttered herself. The owner turned and walked back inside.

Aisha poked her head into Tre’s room and knocked on the door.
“Tre?” she asked.
The young man stood in front of the closet in his t-shirt and underwear. He
didn’t even look up.
“How have you been?” Aisha asked. He mumbled his answer as he dug through for
some clothes.
“I see,” the leader said. She stepped into the room. Tre turned his head. He
blinked at her at first.
“Who are you?” he asked.
“I am a friend of your mother’s,” Aisha said.
“Oh,” he said. The leader sat down on his messy bed.
“What are you doing today?” she asked.
“I don’t know,” Tre said. Aisha rubbed her chin.
“Hm…” she said. The wheels in her head began to turn. Tre gave her a confused
look.
“Why are you in here?” he asked. Aisha broke into a huge grin as she leaned
forward.
“Allow me to help you change your life,” she said. Muriel’s son tilted his head.
“Huh?” he asked. Aisha smiled like a devilish angel.
