Pop Quiz

"Hey, Noiz," Mosh said.

"Yeah," she asked at her laptop.

"The boys are having a quiz night tonight."

"Okay, so?"

"I want to go."

"Why are you telling me? You're a grown boy. You can go. You don't need my permission."

"Yeah, but..."

Noiz turned to him from her computer desk. "What is it? Mosh shrugged his shoulders.

"I was thinking... Maybe you could come with us?"

She raised her eyebrow. "Why?"

"I thought it would be fun," he said. Noiz narrowed her eyes at him.

"What kind of quiz is it?" she asked.

"Just trivia," Mosh said. "Fun stuff like that." The kitty thought about that for a second. The mouse boy stared at her, waiting.

"Sure," she said. Mosh gave her a blank stare.

"Are you sure?" he asked.

"Yeah," Noiz said. He shifted his eyes back and forth.

"Okay then," he said. Noiz leaned forward.

"So... when do we go?" she asked.

"Now, I guess," Mosh said.

"Now?"

"Now?"

"Okay." Noiz rose to her feet and walked over to the closet. The whole time, Mosh sat there with a blank look on his face. He couldn't grasp what just happened. The mouse boy expected more of a fight, but this would do.

"I'll be at the door," Mosh said. He walked over to the front door of the dorm.

7:00 p.m.

Noiz and Mosh made it down to the student pub. The mouse boy opened the door. Twenty nerdy boys looked up when they heard the bell rang. Mosh held out his arms.

"I've brought our new player," he said. "Now we can play!" Conrad stood up and walked up to the podium.

"Good evening, everyone!" he said.

"Good evening!" everyone said back.

"Welcome to our weekly quiz night!" Conrad continued. "We have two teams again tonight. Raise your hands for Walking Tired and Dead!" The team on the left side raised their hands and cheered.

"Good, good," the host said. "Give it up for the Dead Parrots!" Mosh, Graham, Noiz, and the other team cheered and raised their hands.

"Super, super!" the host said. "The rules go as follows. I reach into this purple hat here and pull out the category on the card. Whoever knows the answer will raise their hands on the team. If one team member answers it wrong, a person on the other team will answer it. Whoever gets the most points wins. Any questions?" Noiz raised her hand.

"Yes?" Conrad asked.

"What do we get for a prize?" she asked. Everyone looked at her. Conrad's eyes shifted back and forth.

"Round of beer and drinks for the losing team," he said.

"Yay!" the boys cheered. Noiz sat back and nodded.

"I'll allow it," she mumbled to herself. Conrad threw up his hands in the air.

"Are we ready to begin?" he asked.

"Yeah!" the crowd cheered.

"Okay," the host said. He reached into the big purple top hat in front of him. Conrad looked down as he pulled out a card. He smiled as he opened it.

"Ooo!" he said. "Our first category is popular music from the 80's and 90's." Noiz smirked with a gleam in her eye.

"Oh boy," Graham whispered to Mosh. The mouse boy broke into a little smile.

"We're really going to win against Dodger's team tonight," he whispered back.

"Huh?" the gay boy asked.

"Watch and you will be amazed," Mosh whispered back.

"Question number one," Conrad said over the microphone. "Name the song and artist of this top ten hit from 1987." The music played in the pub for a short moment and Noiz rose her hand as fast as she could.

"Noiz?" he asked.

"'Wanted' by Pink Lady!" she shouted. All eyes fell on her.

"That's correct!" the host said. "Two points for the Dead Parrots!" The team cheered around their new player. Dodge sat his table and snorted.

"That's only one question," he said. The kitty put her hands on her hips.

"Can't handle it?" she asked.

"We've only gotten started!" the cocky leader bragged.

"Now, now," Conrad cut in. "Let's make this a friendly game, now shall we?" Noiz and Dodge instantly quieted down.

"Right," the host said. "Next question."
