Sports Day

Today is the annual sports day. And Animal House was hosting it this year. Oh boy...

Alright some "bright" ideas were getting shot down. Noiz sat in the corner, rubbing her forehead.

"Are they even serious?" she asked herself. Mosh turned his head.

"Oh, come on," he said. "We barely get to do this. Let us have it."

"Yeah, but seriously?" she asked. "A potato eating contest? Really?" Mosh laughed with a sweat drop on his head.

"At least they are trying," he said.

"Not good enough," Noiz said. She stood up and walked up to the front of the activity center. She whistled as loudly as she could. All eyes focused on her. Noiz flipped back her short, black hair.

"This is not how we do things with Sports Day!" she shouted. "You're suggestion all are too silly. Potato eating contest, ladies' mud wrestling, can smashing challenge, Bobby Brown race." It took her all not to scream as she shook her head.

"None of this games or challenges will cut it, man," she said.

"So what should we do?" Graham asked. "Most of us here aren't good at sports."

"And I understand that," the kitty said. "But couldn't make your challenges not so stupid? Nobody's going to want to run in the sock and syrup race."

"But it sounds pretty funny," John said.

"That is not what the staff is going for here," Noiz pointed out. "You know what, why don't we all just take five and come back once the silliness is out of our systems?" A chorus of groans filled the room.

"I know, I know," she said. "It's only going to your head. I'm just stopping you before this train goes off the rails." The boys looked like a pack of hurt puppies. Noiz forced herself to keep smiling. She knew this was going to be hard. But was it foolish to hope that she could turn it around in time? Looks like she would have to call in some back up.

-3:00 p.m.-

Noiz paced around outside of Animal House. She looked up at the sky and held her breath. Come on... Where are you? We are in a pinch. She turned her head when she heard the car rolling up. The kitty clapped her hands together.

"Oh, thank god you are here!" she said. "They are just sounding silly while they plan this Sports Day." Margaret stepped out of her car and looked around.

"How can I help?" she asked.

"Come inside," the kitty said. She turned and walked into the activity room. Margaret followed behind.

-Sports Day-

Noiz and Mosh stood at the entrance of the academy field. The kitty held out her arms.

"Welcome, everyone!" she shouted. "We will begin our annual Tokyo-Zion Academy Sports Day!" The crowds started walking in

"You think we can pull this off?" Mosh asked under his breath.

"We will have to see," Noiz whispered back.

"I hope we know what we are doing," the mouse boy said.  He followed Noiz into the gate just as the fireworks were set off.
